So lately my new area of exploration is metal working. A good friend has his own shop and has graciously consented to teach me a few things. For my first lesson I got to play with a hand held plasma cutter. This tool burns hotter than the sun, and cuts through a quarter inch metal sheet like it was butter. So. Cool.
I discovered that I can actually use it to prepare plates akin to etching. I am going to play with this and pull some prints to see where I can go. Will post photos soon.
